Bridges is an alcohol and drug addiction treatment facility that is located at 941-949 Bridgeport Avenue in Milford, Connecticut. Treating substance abuse involves multiple stages of treatment through a recovery program such as that offered by Bridges. This can include group counseling, individual counseling, outpatient treatment, inpatient treatment, and medically assisted detox, among many others. Treatment programs are based on the individual themselves and are constructed to suit each patient individually. Just as every person is unique, so should treatment programs and that is exactly what patients will receive at Bridges.
If addicts do not obtain the right type of support and guidance, they may find treatment to be very difficult as the thought of sobriety can seem so far-fetched. At Bridges, professional counseling and guidance are provided to all patients aged Adolescents, Adult men, Adult women, Seniors or older adults, giving them the strength needed in order to obtain a life that is free of drug and alcohol addiction. By altering the patient's outlook on life through addiction treatment, they will be able to stay positive throughout the duration of rehab.
The staff members at Bridges have a mission and that is to give patients effective and quality addiction treatment so that long-lasting sobriety can be obtained. The path to a positive future starts on a positive foot and that begins at Bridges. Confronting addiction is a difficult thing to do, but it is the most important step in the recovery process. Through professional counseling during the patient's time in treatment, patients will learn coping skills and trigger management which is imperative to the success of maintaining sobriety.
Maintaining sobriety on one's own is extremely difficult, especially when the addict has tried to go 'cold turkey' on their own. This is because it requires medically-assisted detox in order to properly and safely wean the body off of the substance of abuse. This way the body does not go through sudden withdrawal nor experience harsh side effects. Bridges can provide patients with all of the necessary tools, treatments, and resources so that patients have every opportunity to succeed in recovery.

Nice quite adult bar. Would take date here. Food has always been consistently good. Help is nice, and there is adequate parking in back lot..prices are reasonable. Never had bad meal here and have been going for years. Cozy bar feel.
Bridge House is a wonderful venue relatively new to the "Milford restaurant landscape". The food is great and the service is excellent. They also have private party rooms!
Food was excellent. From the drinks, bread, appetizers and main course was all excellent. Even the coffee was the best I had in a long time. It was great to see a menu change with new items. Bridge House has been one of my signature or anchor restraunts for a decade. It's clean, comfortable and cozy to be there. The waitresses are very friendly and attentive. I have never felt that i was ignored or waiting to be served.
The food was very fresh, and the presentation was attractive but the flavor was nothing special. The price was reasonable and portions perfect. The service was good and all courses were served soon after leaving the stove. Overall it was good. I just hoped it would be better.
Really good local Milford restaurant. The daily flatbread specials are always delicious. Highly recommend the Won-ton Tuna Tacos as an appetizer.
One of my favorite places to eat at in Milford. Food is better than ever and the new management is moving in a great direction. Can't wait for their new endeavor to open the Bonfire Grill (the old Sloppy Jose).
Delicious food.. Tender, strip steak, excellent flavor.. Friend Smashed potato was a "smashing" hit (unbelievable).... VERY Nice hearty soup..
The food was delicious and the service was average. I'd definitely return.
There are no words great enough to say how delicious the experience was. Had the twin lobster rolls and they were "to die for"!!! The salad scrumptious and the fries crunchily yummy! Will be back soon!!
Absolutely fabulous! Friendly and attentive wait staff - Delicious food - Cozy and warm ambiance. All at a respectable price!!
One of the staff members from bridges really helped me and wasn't only my phycologist but she was my friend
I've had a great experience here with the child and family services. With the state budget cuts, I know the adult services have been cut. My understanding is that you cannot get individual therapy, just group therapy and medication management and that doesn't make everybody happy. But every clinician I've worked with as a foster parent and every doctor, especially Dr. Allen and their IICAPS teams have all been professional, kind and effective. The only service that has been underwhelming is there crisis response team, but I'm OK going other routes in an emergency.
